Dr Suresh Bhagia is a highly qualified, experienced, mature, low-profile, versatile and ambidextrous Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgeon based in Gujarat. After training in UK, USA and NZ, He came back to serve his motherland. Dr Bhagia completed MBBS and MS( General Surgery) from the reputable Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Gujarat, India.
While training in UK, he was awarded the prestigious FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow in June 1995. Thereafter, He was trained by world class heart surgeons like Dr Denton Cooley, Dr James Livesay, Dr Howard Frazier and Dr Michael Duncan at Texas heart Institute, USA. After his return to India in May 2001, He refined his surgical skills and techniques and adapted to the Indian methodology @ Bombay Hospital, Mumbai and Apollo Hospitals, Chennai.
Subsequently, he was affiliated with several hospitals in Gujarat like UN Mehta Institute, Shalby hospital, Apollo hospital, Sterling hospital and Sanjivani hospital. Then, from November 2012 to April 2016, He was invited by Ministry of health in Mauritius to help in reducing the national waiting list of patients awaiting open heart surgery. Having interactions with and blessings from the world renowned cardiovascular surgeons like Dr Albert Starr, Prof Sir Magdi Yacoub, prof Sir Donald Ross, Dr Carlos Duran, Prof Alain Carpentier, Dr Sampath Kumar, Dr KM Cherian, Dr MR Girinath, prof Sir Brian Barrett Boyes, Dr James Cox, Dr Vincent Dor and many other national and international thoracic surgeons, He has a vision to deliver holistic heart health to modern India.
